Always in black and white, the painter works in gray tones, layers of washes and successive glazes. Raw and violent, red is also invited into his works. There is influences of Bilal and Bacon in the gesture of Patrick Hugues. Other Important influences in Patrick’s work are Antoine d'Agata, H.R. Giger and Druillet are also nearby. The man, who still experimented a lot, then crossed the Marseilles artist Skunk Dog. Between the two painters, the bond is firmly woven. In contact with Skunk Dog, Patrick expands his palette.
