I’m a surrealist painter from Minneapolis. I use painting to create meaning using metaphors. I create narratives using words that are influenced by light and sound: separate halves of the same coin. The light I paint is created from the sounds of words spinning in my head. That light is embodied in the meaning of life and brings light into my canvas through worlds and their sounds. I build a narrative into my paintings as I compose each work using a multitude of small details including figures, both animal and human which all contribute to a cohesive theme.
